Thinking… and needing rhythm 3

Posted by Daniel on January 23, 2004

Yesterday when I was driving to Denton, MD on the eastern shore for a job I had some good time to think. I’m processing what it means to live in the Kingdom of God… hopefully as this thinking progresses I’ll have something to share about it here, but I don’t yet.

What I have realized is that I need more rhythm in my life. My job is such that I never know what the day is going to be like when I wake up. Now, that excitement can me fun, but I also need rhythm… I want to start something like Celtic Daily Prayer and try some other monastic disciplines…

Is that like praying the hours? I’ve found that so helpful in keeping me focused.

Wow, comments from my 2 favorite girls in the world!

Mom: Yes it is a way of praying the hours, specifically from the celtic tradition.

Leash: I know we are trying to be frugal, but I ordered a copy of it today, along with another similar one called A Holy Island Prayer Book
