Long week

Posted by Daniel on February 20, 2004

I haven’t posted much this week because it’s been a busy one with work. We had small group Monday night, which is always good. I worked late Tuesday night on a side job. Wednesday night I worked until almost midnight doing an install. I did get to go to my parent’s place for dinner last night, which was nice. Tonight I think we are going to Dj, Josh and Ben’s place for pizza and a movie. I feel like I haven’t seen them in a while, so it will be nice to see them.

I have issues 2

Posted by Daniel on February 16, 2004

Just want to let all of my loyal readers know that I have issues.

We went to North Wake Church on Sunday in North Carolina. It is the church Jamie and Cara Shey are going to be going to. So, what are my issues you ask? Well, I’m way too critical of different ministries and I have a hard time loving certain expressions of the church. I had a hard time there on Sunday. It all seemed so cheesy and fake. I need help… Well, confession time is over…

Back from the weekend

Posted by Daniel on February 16, 2004

We had a nice, but busy and tiring, weekend in North Carolina. It was some good time with friends, although I wish we would have taken more time to just talk.

Major congratulations to Jamie and Cara Shey! Jamie asked the big question and she said yes! There will be some pictures in the photo gallery soon with the wedding coming sometime this summer.

Update: The pictures are now posted in the photo gallery in the Jamie and Cara Shey wedding album.

Simple Pilgrimage prayer book at some point in the future

Posted by Daniel on February 11, 2004

I have really enjoyed praying prayers from the past lately. I’ve been going through Celtic Daily Prayer and am really liking the rhythm thing. But, just like with Bible translations, it would be very cool if it could all be available online. So, this got me thinking. What if I/we put together a prayer book of all Public Domain prayers? I spent some time collecting some online today, which was a pretty neat experience. Just another thing to do in the future…

Weekend review

Posted by Daniel on February 09, 2004

I haven’t blogged in a few days, but it has been a good weekend. Alicia and I celebrated Valentine’s day Saturday night so we can go see friends this coming weekend. She is so awesome!

Yesterday was a very enjoyable time at Horizon. Got to hear from people about the leadership retreat they just came back from. Sounds like it was very good for people. Also got to enjoy worship led by Ben Kirk which was very nice. We got to enjoy a improve dance by Eileen Schwartz. And then Josh Denning brought us a talk on the Charismatic Tradition. Some very good stuff! I get a sense that God is doing some very awesome stuff in people’s lives. Go God!
