I need to figure out a good setup to filter email spam. The number of messages I get has started to go up recently. And it’s not only email spam that has been a problem lately. Spam has started being posted as comments in my blog. Scott’s blog was hit over Thanksgiving and now mine is being targetted. I’ve closed comments on all but the most recent few posts. It took a while to close over 300 posts. I guess I will have to make a habit of that. So, my new working model will be that if there hasn’t been a comment on a post in a week I’ll close comments on it.
As for email spam, I need to figure out how to set it up on the email server. I think I want to use either SpamAssassin or DSPAM as the filtering software. Not I just to figure out how to tie them into our Postfix email server setup.
