We got about 7 inches of snow yesterday here in lovely mid-Maryland. It’s nothing compared to what they got up towards Boston, but it gave me a workout shoveling. Here is a picture I just took and put in our Snow from Jan2005 photo gallery. I’ll put more photos in that gallery as I take them.
I haven’t been blogging as regularly as I would like. I think this is partly because things have not been too exciting around here and also because I had myself on planet emergent and wasn’t listening to my own advice about posting while being on there. I’ve removed myself from it. I think am going to focus more on local and regional things instead of on global conversations. My blogroll has been updated accordingly.
This afternoon/evening we are going over to Matt and Sara’s place to watch the football games. We had a good time over there last time and I am looking forward to getting to know them better. I wish we could invite them over here but Sara is allergic to cats.

I hear and understand your reason(s) for removing yourself from Planet Emergent. Good work on setting that site up for the “global conversation” (as you call it) nonetheless. I just want to say that as I have followed your journey a bit over these several months on this blog, I have appreciated your spirit and your heart, what I have seen of it. I encourage you to continue your pilgrimage there in mid-Maryland, as I know you will. Peace to you.
