Man, this is the battle of the century. So my boss Jeff worked late last night to redo a lot of the work I did yesterday on the server. Today we take it down there to get it working. We went around and did a virus scan on all of the computers with the latest pattern from Trend Micro and got them all cleaned up. And wouldn’t you know it, as soon as we put one of the computers back online the same thing happened that happened yesterday. Another 7 hours down the toilet, but only 1-2 of them were mine this time. The workstations were still working so as a makeshift solution I made one of them act as a workstation and server and got them up and working. We still need to figure out what is happening with the server… but that is for another day, I am spent! My boss is going to go there tomorrow morning to call Microsoft and see if they can offer any help. I’d call round 2 a draw…
Beaten by a virus 1
Nope, it’s not about being sick this time… this is about a computer virus.
I spent almost 7 hours re-installing the server at a new client today only to turn on a workstation(which I thought had all been cleaned) and have the virus on it ruin all the work I did on the server. This is the first time I’ve been defeated by a computer virus. My boss is working tonight to redo a lot of what I did today and I’ll be back at the job tomorrow to get things back in order. Tomorrow I’ll be a lot more careful about their workstations though. Bummer.
Tired of being sick 3
I’ve been sick all week long. Sinus issues, feeling achy and a fever that comes and goes. I’m tired of it and I would like to feel better now. Maybe if I rest most of the day tomorrow my body will be able to recover.

Wordpress 1.5 released
Wordpress, the blogging software we use here at simplepilgrimage, has released their latest version today. Version 1.5 has some great new features over the old 1.2 series. We have been using the beta versions for a while and it’s great. I highly suggest it if you are looking for personal blog software for you website. You can get it here.
