My boss brought on a partner who started full-time yesterday. I realized that this is the first time in my life that I haven’t picked my boss(es). I’ve never had a change above me in a job before. Greg is a good guy, but it’s gonna take some getting used to. He is very much an administrator and manager and I have a problem with authority.
With bringing on a partner they also changed a bunch of legal stuff, including the name. I no longer work for Innovative Automation Specialists(thank God, what a horrible name). I now work for Kite Technology Group. The website will be at kitetechgroup.com when one of us gets a chance to set something up there.
Some other changes happened as well. I got bumped from my office into our supply room. It needs some cleaning but should work fine. I’m on the road so much it really doesn’t matter either way. They also want to change the way the work comes in and gets dispatched. The idea is to keep my phone from ringing off the hook which should be nice. That’s all I know about at the moment. I’ll keep you informed as I decide how I like the new arrangements.
I hope everything works out good for you Dan…I dont think ive ever had a boss Ive liked…except my best friends mom…So lets just hope you have better luck than me
I’ve liked most of my bosses actually… but like I said, I picked them when I decided to take the jobs. Jeff has been a great boss for the past few years and he’s still around, I just have 2 bosses now. Or three actually if you count Alicia. I should be able to adjust and handle it fine… it’s just going to be different for a while.
