We have worshipped with a couple different communities in the last day or so. Yesterday afternoon/evening we helped setup for and participated in the first service of A Different Richmond, a brand new church plant getting started down in Shockoe Bottom. It was cool to see Rock so excited about things last night. This has been a long time coming for him and his crew.
Tonight we worshipped with Richmond Hill, an ecumenical community up here in Church Hill. Everyone was very nice, and it was the most diverse(Black, White, Young, Old) group of people I’ve seen in Richmond so far.
Both were good experiences that I’m glad we were a part of. They are also both groups of people I’m looking forward to getting to know better.
So glad you had a good time at Richmond Hill (and in the valley below with ADR). One of my favorite places in the city is the overlook of downtown from Richmond Hill. So appreciate you guys, and the help you have already given. I really want to get you and Chuck dreaming/scheming on Lamppost groups. Pax, Rock
