Enjoyable weekend

We were pretty busy yesterday. After my bike ride we went to the library and got some lite reading. I picked up John Grisham’s The Testament(very good so far). Then we went down to the Tomato Festival down at the Farmer’s Market, made a quick stop at Rosie Connelly’s for a beer, then over to an Open House at the Historical Society where we got a private tour from Carol Anne(thanks!). A client of Alicia’s, Pete, was there doing promotional stuff for a radio station. He hooked us up with free tickets to a few events around town(thanks Pete!). We then went out to Short Pump so Alicia could get new tennis shoes and I picked up a few things for my bike(helmet, headlight and taillight). Then we just came home and read.

This morning I went for another bike ride. Just over 7 miles this time but I did some exploring. I went over the Leigh St Bridge and into downtown and around there. It’s nice to know you can get over to downtown without having to go down and up the big hills, thanks Ross for that info. It was raining some or I probably would have explored some more. Now I’m home and drying off and looking to spend some time reading before lunch.

Update: I finished The Testament this weekend. It was a very good read, I recommend it if you are looking for something to read.
