I lived in Amsterdam for 2 1/2 years. No car -- only a big heavy black Dutch bike with with no gears. It was wonderful -- my bike was always anxious to take me to new and wonderful places -- and it is still there in the safe keeping of a friend awaiting my eventual return.

In The Netherlands, there is a bike path everywhere there is a highway. Back in Richmond I have a 10 speed that has only once left my apartment -- I would be afraid to venture out here where bikers are certainly not respected.

Yeah, they are AM. Those crazy guys ride about 10 miles every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7, leaving from Ross' house in Carytown.
