Just got back from my first bike ride. Good stuff! I went up to Oakwood Cemetary and all around it and Evergreen Cemetary and then around the neighborhood some. According the Gmaps Pedometer(and my best guesses at where all I went) I went over 8 miles. Not bad for my first ride if I do say so myself.
This week of work was crazy busy, so it’s nice to be able to go for a ride and unwind. I think the rest of our day involves trips to the farmer’s market, the historical society open house and maybe the library. I love weekends!

I bought this bike tonight from Ross. I’m looking forward to getting into riding. I haven’t ridden regularly since I got my drivers license, so it may take me a bit to get used to it, but I’m excited about it.

So our weekend plans have changed a little. It turns out Alicia’s grandfather isn’t going to be coming to Narrows, VA now. Which would normally mean she would just come up to MD with me… except that, because she wasn’t going to, I’ve made plans to work in MD at the end of this week… and she has to work. The best of plans come crashing down. Don’t you hate it when that happens?

Man, that game was nuts! I’m glad that Italy was able to pull it off, they deserved it. And oh man, Zidane did not go out in a classy way.

The fence is mostly done. Our younger brothers came into town, we had a blast with them, did a lot of work, drank a lot of beer, and now they are gone again. Thanks for coming down guys!
My pictures of the fence and it’s construction are available on my flickr account and my dad put his pictures up on the farrells.org photo album.
We had a nice 4th of July. We went over to the Murden’s for a cookout. Fun times! Thanks for having us guys!
This weekend we are hanging around and relaxing. I’ll probably take the axe and shovel to the stump some more in hopes of making some progress. Tomorrow morning I’m going to Commonwealth Chapel to support Jake Lyell as he gets baptised.
Next weekend we are doing the seperate vacation thing. I’ll be up in MD for Mark and Missy Stephenson’s way-after-the-fact wedding reception and a little bit of work. Alicia will be in Narrows, VA visiting with her family and seeing her grandfather who we haven’t seen since before we got married. If you are either of those places and want to see person who will be there, get in touch!
