We are down in Narrows visiting Alicia’s family this weekend and going to the VT game tomorrow. There are 3 babies here under 1.5 years old. I think the twin girls only stop crying when they are asleep and their older brother does this little scream/screech thing anytime something doesn’t go his way. I think I may go insane.
I wouldn’t want to be our roommate
Our new roommate Caroline moved in last night. She’ll be staying here for about a month until she moves down to Raleigh and gets married. That poor girl, by 5AM this morning Alicia was up making her normal morning noise and the kittens were making lots of noise. Things have calmed down a little, but every now and then there is a crash from the kittens as one of them falls(get’s pushed) off their napping shelves. Hopefully the mornings here will be more peaceful for her in the future.
Free ebooks from Plough.com 1
It looks like the publishing arm of the Bruderhof, Plough Publishing, is now longer going to be publishing books. That is a sad thing. But to offset my sadness they have made their works available as free ebooks. If you go to their website and click on EBOOKS you can download any of the 48 complete books as PDFs. I own a few in print and I’ve very much enjoyed them. I plan on reading most of the rest of them as well. Enjoy.
The Mousetrap
Friday night we went to Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap performed at Barksdale Theatre at Hanover Tavern. David, who works at Gold’s with Alicia, plays Christopher Wren and was able to score us some free tickets(thanks David!). If you get a chance you should go see it, it was very good. It was a good blend of comedy and mystery and the acting was very good. Afterwards we went with a couple of the cast and crew to Capital Ale House for Oktoberfest. It was a fun night, even if the late night(2AM) will probably mess us up all week.
In other highlights of this weekend, we went to a party Eric and Pam threw last night and played with kittens. Both were fun.
Kittens 2

As Alicia said, we found Pip’s kittens yesterday. Well, today we went and caught them, or most of them. There were five out there and we were only able to catch four of them. The plan is to get them liking humans and find homes for them and also to get their mom fixed. Maybe we can even get the fifth one later. So, if you or anyone you know would like to have a cute little kitten let me know.
