Yeah, it's one of the most active church planting networks. They seem very cutting edge, but they are male only and very reformed.

Hey Fellow Traveler,

Yeah, I include the women in leadership thing to be a part of the "far away from being Reformed/Presbyterian in what I believe" thing. It's probably not fair to lump PCUSAers into my thoughts on Presbyterians(except for the whole predestination thing) because I've not had any interaction with them. All my experience with Presbyterians has been PCAers and the other Reformed groups I've interacted with have been Acts 29ers who hold similar positions to PCAers.

I didn't want to get into those debates though which is why I left my post a short one. There are people I respect as people(all of their lives, including their faith) who are a part of the Franklin Street Community and I wanted to let like-minded people know about it.

Thanks for stopping by.

This church is not only for people who can handle "the reformed thing" but also for people who don't mind that it's a PCA church (Presbyterian Church in America) that doesn't believe women can hold positions of leadership.

Don't know how you feel about that, Daniel, but I have a lot of friends who attend PCA churches (e.g. West End Pres.) who have no clue. In fact, the ordination of women was one of the biggest reasons the PCA split from the PC(USA). From the PCA webpage:

"It separated from the Presbyterian Church in the United States (Southern) in opposition to the long-developing theological liberalism .... Additionally, the PCA held to the traditional position on the role of women in church offices." (meaning they can't hold any)

Also, read this press release about how the PCA broke off its relationship with another church that let women serve as leaders:
