Barack Obama at the Jim Webb rally today 5

Webb and Obama photo

I rode over to Virginia Union today for the Jim Webb rally. Like most people there I was mostly interested in hearing from Barack Obama. Obama-mania is right, that guy is all the rage these days. I got to shake Jim’s hand afterward, but couldn’t get close enough to Barack to shake his. That is the best photo I was able to get and I have a video clip of Barack speaking but unfortunately my digital camera only takes 3 minute video clips and it cuts off at an interesting point. I’ll get it online though.

I would like to have been there. I heard a good article about Obama on this past weeks On The Media that has some great speech excerpts — the man is a gifted speaker.

Dan, what’s your opinion on Webb?

John: Yeah, he’s definitely a very gifted speaker. He’s also got a lot of his speeches on his podcast. I plan on checking some of them out.

Adele: Webb seems like a pretty good guy. I like that he seems like a regular guy who wants to help make a difference. He’s not perfect, but no one is. I was impressed enough that I will be voting for him.

I wasn’t there in person, but saw several clips of Obama’s speech online.

Was it just me, or does he seem… “Presidential”. Just in the way he carries himself and presents his positions?

Not wanting to start rumors, but the man definitely has a gravitas.

Yeah, definitely something “Presidential” about him. I’m a fan. Let’s hope he can maintain it for the next couple years.
