The guys have been here all day working on our house. The plan was to have them rip down the old siding on one side of our house, fix any little problems behind there, and put up new siding. Well, as it turns out they didn’t find little problems, they found some big problems. A nice section of the framing of our house has rotten studs. They have spent all day working on that section. This is going to cost quite a few thousand more than we thought. Yucky.

I just found out who your contractor is, good choice. I’ve known him since 2nd grade & he’s the most dependable & hardworking guy than I’ve ever known.
Sorry to hear about the extent of what y’all have to deal with. That must just be infuriating. We found rotted studs along one of our walls, though were chasing termites when we ofound it so it wasn’t as shocking.
Yeah, Jim’s been great. Thanks for the recommendation. It is a little frustrating, but we are holding up okay so far.

Ahhhh, the joys of owning your own home! i just had to replace a part on my oil heat furnace that burned out and not allowing the heat to work.
