The Galaxy got Kicked! 1

Posted by Daniel on July 10, 2007

The Richmond Kickers pulled off the improbable upset tonight by ousting the LA Galaxy from the US Open Cup tournament by a score of 1-0. Go Kickers!

It seemed like the Galaxy wasn’t playing very aggressive in the first half. The Kickers got their goal from David Bulow pretty early and were able to keep the Galaxy from scoring. Landon Donovon sat out the first half but played the second half and sparked some aggression from the Galaxy. The Kickers mostly played back in the second half but made a few runs. All in all a very satisfying game for Richmond soccer fans. Next up for us in the US Open Cup we travel to play the winner of the Chicago Fire and Carolina RailHawks. Who is up for a road trip?!?

We had a group of ten of us there cheering them on tonight. Thanks for coming out guys, it was fun!
