Reading Deep Economy 1

Posted by Daniel on October 31, 2007

I picked up Deep Economy in the bookstore in Williamsburg this past weekend. It’s a book that has interested me each time I’ve seen it but I’ve held off buying it until now. It jumped to the top of my reading list and has been really interesting so far. I hope to write more about it as I get farther along.

Announcing the Richmond Sports Blog

Posted by Daniel on October 23, 2007

I’ve been working on getting the Richmond Sports Blog up and running for a little while now. If you are interested in local Richmond sports I suggest that you check it out. It’s just getting started and will continue to improve, but no need to keep it secret any longer.

Thank you Facebook

Today is my college roommate Drew’s 30th birthday(Happy Birthday Drew!). I know this because Facebook keeps track of that stuff for me, otherwise I am really bad about knowing birthdays. So I left Drew a comment saying happy birthday on Facebook. He wrote back and said he was just thinking about us because he was sitting in the Richmond airport. Weird. My college roommate who I haven’t seen in 9 years was 6 miles from our house. So after a couple more messages back and I forth I ended up going over to the airport and we got to hang out for about an hour and a half. How cool is that! It’s pretty amazing that we both look pretty much like we did 9 years ago, except he can grow facial hair now(I still can’t really, stupid bald patches) and has some. We had a nice time catching up on life. Good times. Thank you Facebook for making that happen.

If any other old friends read this and ever come through Richmond you better let me know so we can meetup, okay?

Weekend review Oct 19th-21st

Friday night we went out to eat at Sumo San with Greg and Cindy and then went over to The Tobacco Company to listen to some live music and was joined by a couple other friends. Good times.

Saturday we walked in a benefit walk to raise money to fight ALS. Our friend Will’s mom has ALS and we walked with the team they had. After that it was mostly napping and TV watching.

Sunday we had church at our house in the morning, ate lunch at Zuppa(yum!) with people from church and then watched football and chilled.

Very nice weekend all around. Restful and fun and got to spend time with friends.
